Pairing Our Best Foods With Our Best Wines!

Nothing can compare to a great dish paired with a delicious wine, especially when you're eating the best Italian food at the Lake of the Ozarks! There is always something on our menu to tempt your tastebuds. So when you're looking for the best restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks, you've found them! Today we're going to feature a few of our delicious dishes, paired with a few amazing wines.

Cajun Shrimp & House Pinot Grigio

Our succulent shrimp is served with onions, green and red bell peppers in a Cajun butter cream sauce. We would pair the Pinot Grigio because the lower alcohol level in this white wine pairs wonderfully with the heat of this dish. Because white wines lack the sharp tannic quality of reds, this will match wonderfully with the shrimp in this dish.


Lasagna & House Pinot Noir 

We have the best lasagna at the Lake of the Ozarks! It's a homemade, layered pasta with ricotta cheese, meat sauce, Italian sausage and a two cheese blend, topped with meat sauce and melted cheese. The flavors are fabulous! To make them even better we would pair or House Pinot Noir with this dish. The wine is savory, and the bright flavors complement the acidity of the tomato sauce.

Rizzo Burger & House Cabernet

Our famous Rizzo Burger has all of the fixings to make it amazing, bacon, sauteed mushrooms and onions topped with melted provolone cheese. Our mouth is watering already! We think the house Cabernet would make an intriguing pair with the burger. It will add some sweet lush and plush fruit to the burger.

Roasted Chicken Capellini & Chardonnay, La Terre

Delicious, tender, marinated strips of chicken breast sautéed in olive oil with mushrooms, tomatoes, green onions and chopped garlic  come together to make this angel hair pasta dish. It's melt-in-your-mouth amazing! We would pair the Chardonnay, La Terre with this dish. Chardonnay with chicken is a classic combination, but that doesn't make it any less delicious!

These are only a few of our fantastic dishes at Li'l Rizzo's, but there are SO many to pick from, so this was quite the challenge! We have a wonderful selection fantastic Italian food varying between our pastas and pizzas. Along with many other fantastic foods such as our Wing Ding Winning Wings!
