Romance Awareness Month

Image
August is Romance Awareness Month. It was created to encourage couples to improve their relationships through romance all year long. Being aware of the romance in your relationship and working on ways to add more romance into your life is a win-win for both of you. Sometimes it's the little things that make a big difference. Below are a few ways to put some romance back into your relationship. 1. Slip Your Partner a Love Note.  Write little love notes to slip into your partners pocket or purse. These notes don't have to be elaborate. Even a simple "I love you," could really put a smile on your partner's face. 2. Hold Hands Often.  Whether you're sitting at home alone on the couch, cruising around in the car or walking through town, holding hands is a great way to feel closer to your partner. 3. Watch a Romantic Movie Together.  Sometimes all it takes is spending some quality time together, alone to spark a little romance. Switch off your phone...

Regional Food Preferences in Italy

Image
When talking about Italian food, pasta is usually the first thing that comes to mind. Pasta is really the dish that unifies the whole of the nation. However, if you think that food is prepared the same way everywhere in Italy, you're wrong. In fact, there are only a few Italian dishes that are considered "national." Each region of Italy has its own typical food and recipes. Although Italy can be broken down into 20 different regions, you will find some common cooking trends allowing the division of Italy into 3 different gastronomic areas: North, Center and South. Our Lake of the Ozarks Italian restaurant brings you these regional differences from LifeInItaly.com . North In northern Italy, tradition revolves around hot soups, like minestrone and vegetables like radicchio, and is based on dishes that are rich in fat.
