What We're Craving This June at the Lake of the Ozarks

June is here at our Lake of the Ozarks Italian Restaurant. That means warmer days and the official arrival of summer. (Don't forget, Father's Day is coming up this month too! Be sure to plan ahead for that.) 

The Li'l Rizzo's menu is full of many different dishes to please all types of tastes. Here are a few suggestions for you to consider from a short list of what we're craving this month.  

Li'l Rizzo's "World Famous" Salad
People seem to eat more cool, crisp salads more often during the summer. The perfect choice for a salad that you're sure to love is our "World Famous" House Salad. 

It's made up of a blend of iceberg and romaine lettuce that is tossed in our homemade, red wine vinegar-based, creamy Italian dressing. It also contains diced red peppers, green onions, Provel cheese, and parmesan cheese. This salad is always served with our fresh parmesan ciabatta rolls and you may add grilled chicken breast, roasted garlic chicken, or a fried chicken tender if you like. 

Traditional Bruschetta
This refreshing appetizer is always an excellent choice. It originated in Italy during the 15th century, making it a true classic! 

Our delicious version is made from sliced French bread topped with butter and a parmesan, basil, garlic, and olive oil spread, then finished with diced tomato and green onions. 

Toasted Ravioli
Although ravioli originated as a traditional Italian food, the toasted version was created and popularized just a couple of hours away in St. Louis, MO! If you haven't had the chance to try this delicacy yet, you need to order it on your next visit. 

Here we take beef ravioli and deep-fry it to a golden brown. It is then topped with parsley flakes and parmesan cheese and served with a side of meat sauce. 

Tuscan Chicken Sandwich
Summer in Tuscany sounds incredible, but it's also beautiful right here at the Lake of the Ozarks this time of year. Hopefully, our Tuscan Chicken Sandwich helps you feel like you're getting a bit of both.

We take tender sliced roasted garlic chicken and smother it in a blend of mozzarella and Provel cheese. It's served on a ciabatta bun with a side of lettuce, tomato, and red onion.  

Cavatelli Con Broccoli
Did you know that "cavatelli" translates in Italian to "little hollows?" Well, our version of these shell-shaped noodles adds savory toppings that get into every crevice of the hollow areas in an irresistible way! 

We top them with mushrooms, broccoli, and our creamy homemade Alfredo sauce. You'll find a wonderful version of this same delicious dish on the kids' menu too. 

Seafood Pizza
Seafood is a very popular menu item in the lake area and so is the pizza at Li'l Rizzo's. This terrific specialty pizza combines those two foods beautifully! 

All of our pizzas begin with a made-from-scratch dough. The Seafood Pizza is topped with our very own Alfredo sauce, Provel and mozzarella cheeses, shrimp, clams, real crabmeat, mushrooms, and bacon.  

Lake Water
No, we're not suggesting a big glass of the stuff you boat and swim in, but rather a refreshing cocktail that's perfect for sipping out on our deck overlooking that breathtaking lake view. (If you're dining at our Osage Beach location instead, there's no lake view but the drink tastes every bit as yummy!) It's made up of coconut rum, blue Curacao, and pineapple juice.
