New Year's Resolutions You Won't Mind Keeping (& Li' Rizzo's Can Help!)
With 2020 ending and a brand new year nearly here, many of you are probably creating a list of New Year's resolutions for 2021. Li'l Rizzo's Italian Restaurant has a few items you can add to that list which shouldn't be too hard to keep. These are promises to yourself that will add more fun and excitement (and deliciousness) to your life and our Lake of the Ozarks Italian restaurant can help to make these happen.
Try Something New
A new year is a perfect time to begin introducing new experiences into your life. Variety is the spice of life, after all. The menu at Li'l Rizzo's has all the classic Italian dishes you'd expect but that's only a small portion of the many delicious dishes we have to offer.
Beyond traditional spaghetti, lasagna, and tortellini, you might want to branch out with a dish that pulls together unique flavors your taste buds may not be used to. For example, Our Cajun Shrimp Pasta from the regular menu is definitely worth a try. We also offer daily specials occasionally that you won't find on the day-to-day menu. One prime example of this is our Cashew Chicken Pasta. (Yes, we did it and it's amazing!)
Get Adventurous With Pizza Toppings
A true Italian restaurant should not only make fantastic pasta but also the best pizza at the Lake of the Ozarks. Just like with our pasta dishes, you will find "traditional" toppings like pepperoni and mushrooms but we also offer unique toppings that we highly suggest you give a taste.
We've put some of those together on specialty pizzas like our Seafood Pizza, topped with Alfredo sauce, shrimp, clams, real crabmeat, mushrooms, and bacon. Oh, and if your kids haven't tried our famous Gummy Bear Pizza yet, you really need to get them in here for it. (Hope they give you a taste too because it's surprisingly delicious!)
Set Time Aside To Relax
All work and no play... just stinks! Do what you can do include some well-deserved downtime into your schedule, even if you have to literally "pencil it in" on your calendar. We suggest sometime between 3-6 pm Monday-Friday or anytime after 11:00 am on a Sunday because that's when you can join us for the best Happy Hour at the Lake of the Ozarks!
Happy Hour is a wonderful way to stop the hustle and bustle for a bit and take some quality time out for yourself. It's also a perfect time to meet up with old friends and maybe even meet a few new ones. Li'l Rizzo's Happy Hour includes great drink discounts plus all of our appetizers for half-price! Not only will you be relaxed afterward, but you'll be full and happy too!
Watch More Sports
Did you know that both Li'l Rizzo's locations are great places to watch sports at the Lake of the Ozarks? We've got plenty of TVs in the bar areas so you and all of your fellow sports fans can catch all the action.
There will be tons of college bowl games happening throughout the week leading up to the new year, the Kansas City Chiefs are currently on track for another Superbowl appearance, and hockey starts back up in January. As an added bonus, that all-day Sunday Happy Hour we mentioned above really comes in handy when you're hanging out here watching your favorite teams play on the weekend.
Pay It Forward
In addition to doing a few more nice things for yourself in the coming year, it will make you feel wonderful to do something nice for someone else occasionally too. Say hello to that fellow sports fan sitting next to you at the bar, pick up a couple of rounds for the gang at Happy Hour, or treat some friends you haven't seen in a while to a delicious lunch or dinner at our Lake of the Ozarks restaurant & bar. New Year's resolutions don't have to be completely life-changing. Even the smallest change for the better is going to improve how you feel about 2021. The simple (and fun) resolutions we've suggested above are a great place to start. Once you see how easy it is to keep them (with a little help from the gang here at Li'l Rizzo's) you just may be inspired to tackle some of those bigger and tougher resolutions too!
