What We're Craving This August at Li'l Rizzo's
August is labeled "Admit You're Happy Month." (Also called "Happiness Happens Month.") Even though things may seem frustrating day-to-day, if you take a little time to look for happiness in life, you'll see it's there. Focusing on the good stuff makes the not-so-good stuff easier to handle.
Delicious food is one way to make yourself happy. Instead of cooking it yourself, let us here at Li'l Rizzo's Italian Restaurant cook it up for you (and even clean up for you when you're done!) Less work for you plus a plate full of the best Italian food at the Lake of the Ozarks is bound to make you happy!
We've got a great big menu filled with all kinds of delicious dishes. Here are a few that we're craving this month.
Spinach, Green Chili, & Jalapeno Dip
This creamy, cheesy dip is filled with spinach plus green chilies and jalapenos. Full-flavored with just enough "kick" to tickle your taste buds in a fantastic way. It's served with crisp tortilla chips to help you get that amazing taste from the plate to your mouth.
This one is so tasty, if you're sharing with the rest of the table, you may want to get two orders! Since we're on the subject of "happy" today, we need to remind you that during Happy Hour every Monday-Friday from 3-6 pm, all of our appetizers (including this one) are half-price!
Linguini Marinara
Summer is a time to sit back, relax, and keep things simple. This classic dish isn't fancy but the simple ingredients come together to create flavors that are savory and satisfying. All it needs is linguini noodles and mushrooms covered in our homemade marinara sauce. Simple perfection! (You may also upgrade our pasta dishes to a gluten-free pasta if you like.)
Shrimp Scampi
Here's another classic pasta dish that never fails to put a smile on a diner's face! Succulent shrimp along with green onions, tomatoes, and fresh chopped garlic are all sauteed in a delicate wine stock. This incredible mix in then tossed with angel hair pasta and piled on a plate for you to enjoy.
BBQ Chicken Pizza
Summertime is BBQ time and this dish brings those flavors to a meal that always pleases everyone - pizza! The best pizza at the Lake of the Ozarks starts with made-from-scratch dough and is then topped with the freshest, most flavorful toppings possible. Here we have tangy BBQ sauce along with roasted garlic chicken, red onions, and bacon for a taste-tempting pizza that is hard to resist.
Hot Italian Sub
Sub sandwiches are an excellent idea for filling up a picnic basket and heading out to a beautiful park or a scenic boat ride across the lake. You shouldn't wait too long before eating this particular sub though, because it's served hot to assure that all of the flavors inside melt together perfectly.
This delicious sandwich is packed full of Italian roast beef, smoked turkey breast, and pastrami on a ciabatta bun with our house dressing, melted Provel cheese, and green onions. Add to that a side of chips and get ready for some dining happiness.
Li'l Rizzo's "World Famous" House Salad
Salad is a great meal on a hot day as well as a terrific side dish to enjoy alongside your pasta, sandwich, or slice of pizza. Our house salad pairs perfectly with everything on the menu!
It's made up of a blend of iceberg and romaine lettuce that is tossed in our homemade, red wine vinegar-based, creamy Italian dressing. It also contains diced red peppers, green onions, Provel cheese, and parmesan cheese. This salad is always served with our fresh parmesan ciabatta rolls and you may add grilled chicken breast, roasted garlic chicken, or a fried chicken tender on top to make even more of a meal out of it.
